Positive, cheerful, active, confident, outgoing, and persistent, that's how my family and friends describe me, and apart of many other aspects so I am.
My origins are in the land of heat, sun, gazpacho, flamenco, the paella, bullfights, festivals, summers that last 4 months ... Yes, indeed I come from there, from Spain, my dear Spain which nowadays I only visit for holidays. I grew in a town near Madrid where I went to school, I made my first friends and spent my childhood and adolescence, after those wonderful years, I went to college where I found many opportunities that let me grow up, learn, meet interesting people and even love. I studied Business Administration at the University Complutense of Madrid, these studies fascinated me as well as allowed me to understand how the world works from an economic, political and legal viewpoint, starting from the base of the economic history, which make have sense to the current reality.
During those student years I was focused on understanding how the Spanish economy works and also on its relationships with the international market, market organization, the inner workings of business, international business relationships, etc. But one day I told myself that in a globalized world as we live in, it’s incomplete the knowledge you may have regarding to the economy of your own country, I realised that also I needed to know how the markets work from a global point of view. So I decided to finish my degree and do my specialization in international trade in the Capital of Europe, Brussels.
Living there was one of the most enriching experiences I have ever lived. I was fortunate to be invited to visit inside the main European institutions, I was guided through the corridors, halls and offices of the European Parliament and the Commission, I learned some of the important work they do and the great responsibility that these tasks entail. Those months in Brussels made me really understand the functioning of the European and world economy.
After completing my studies I decided that I wanted to keep living in an international environment, I wanted to keep learning, to know about everything: new places, languages, cultures, ways of working, ways of life. Definitely, I was longing new experiences to live. That was the reason why I applied for a Spanish grant which organised internships abroad (Becas Faro, organised by the General Foundation of Valladolid University) and I was lucky to be chosen to work at Harris Interactive, an American multinational company located in Paris. The Parisian experience made me meet my expectations, I worked in a multicultural environment, with people coming from all over Europe, learned common characteristics in the behavior of employees based on their cultural background, I worked in a team, took decisions, and organize my tasks myself. It was a very complete internship that allowed me to develop professional skills in the following areas: Creative thinking and trouble shooting, knowledge of customers and their needs, adaptability to change, leadership, teamwork, negotiation and influence skills, make contacts and establish relationships and effective management of time.
As I mentioned at the beginning I am a very active person, I love learning new things and enriching myself both personally and professionally, therefore now I'm looking for new job opportunities in Luxembourg, the city where I live, opportunities that hopefully will make me develop more skills, in which I have the posibility to implement what I have studied in my years in college, and also which allow me to develop new ideas, to be creative, to learn new things every day and ultimately, that let me become in a true professional.
While I'm searching this new opportunity I do not cease in my devotion to learn, now I'm immersed in learning a new language, Portuguese, and soon I will start a Master Degree in Management and Business Administration.
My maximum is to be in constant improvement, in progress, using my time, in evolution, moving forward....
I recently had an interview with the human resources director of a company, and after a very long conversation about me, my resume, my expectations, my dream job, the labor market situation, etc ... He made me to end a question I caught by surprise: - What is the most important thing to you in life? And without hesitating a moment I just replied: -Happiness.
